We have partnered with 29 missionary families on five continents who are involved in planting churches, training nationals, and equipping more missionaries for the sake of the gospel. We understand our need to care well for our souls, so we gather to learn from God’s life-giving Word to us, the Bible. Whether it’s a class for a specific age or stage, or a short-term elective on a topic, ABF groups provide us with opportunities for fellowship, prayer, and learning from the Bible with other committed Christians. These groups are best when they supplement the corporate gathering of the church on Sunday, and may be a door to fruitful one-on-one discipling relationships.
Adult Bible Fellowship Groups
Worship is giving God the glory that He alone deserves. Music is a natural and Scriptural tool to help us do that, and is an essential part of our life together as a church. On Sunday, our congregational songs lift high the name of Jesus through a blend of content-rich hymns and choruses. A rhythm section and a wind ensemble accompany during congregational songs. Our choir sings weekly from September through May, and soloists and ensembles minister frequently in song. The Music & Worship Ministry Team aims to train and deploy men and women to serve humbly and skillfully in worship, and to teach the congregation so that it may enhance its worship and witness.
WATERLOO CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Waterloo Christian School is a K-12 Christian school serving Waterloo, Cedar Falls and surrounding Northeast Iowa communities since 1973. It partners with parents to educate and train children in the context of a Biblical worldview. For more information on this ministry, visit www.wcs-ia.net.
SMALL WONDERS LEARNING CENTER
The Walnut Ridge facility is also home to Small Wonders Learning Center. This pre-school was established with the idea that our little ones are wonderfully made and full of wonder. There are three separate classes designated just for 3, 4 and 5 year olds to help show the love of Christ and prepare them for their schooling experience. To find out more about Small Wonders, contact Director Susan Speed at firstname.lastname@example.org
God’s Word teaches us to plant our roots deep—in Christ Jesus the Lord. In so doing, our walk will be in Him and our lives will abound in thanks to Him (Colossians 2:6-7). Rooted, our ministry for teens grades 7-12, teaches the Bible and provides outlets for worship, fellowship, and service. Weekly meetings are Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday at 6:40 p.m.
Check out the Rooted Facebook page for more information.
In physics, fusion is a process by which multiple nuclei join to form one heavier nucleus. In our ministry, young adults come together to form one community. The basis of our union is faith in Christ and a passion to follow Him. This fellowship gives us a venue as students and professionals to encourage and edify each other. As a result, we are “heavier,” or stronger. We meet for Bible study on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.
